• Party Codes: 6-character codes used to join watch parties. These are temporary and expire automatically.
• Playback State: Current timestamp and play/pause state, shared only with party members during active sessions.

2. Information We Don't Collect

We explicitly do NOT collect:

• Personal information (name, email, address)
• Browsing history or viewing habits
• Account credentials for streaming services
• Payment information
• Location data
• Device identifiers

3. How We Use Information

The information we collect is used solely to:

• Synchronize video playback between party members
• Maintain party session state
• Display party member count

4. Data Storage & Retention

• Session data is stored temporarily in memory and automatically deleted when parties end
• Party codes expire after 24 hours of inactivity
• No data is permanently stored on our servers
• Local storage is used only for your session ID preference

5. Third-Party Services

AnimeLens Watch Party operates with streaming platforms but:

• We don't share any data with streaming services
• We don't access your streaming service accounts
• We only interact with video elements on the page
• We don't inject ads or tracking scripts

6. Permissions Explained

The extension requests these permissions:

• Host Permissions (streaming sites): Required to detect and control video playback on supported platforms
• Storage: To save your session ID locally
• Tabs: To communicate between the popup and content scripts

7. Security

We implement security measures including:

• All party communication uses HTTPS
• Party codes are randomly generated
• No authentication tokens are stored
• Extension code is open for inspection

8. Children's Privacy

AnimeLens Watch Party does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The extension requires users to have valid streaming service subscriptions, which typically require users to be 13 or older.
